Cellectricon is a biotechnology company based in Mölndal, Sweden, specializing in innovative services within neuroscience drug development. By creating advanced in vitro platforms for studying nerve cells, they contribute to research in neuroinflammation, peripheral neuropathy, neurodegeneration, and neuroplasticity.

The company was founded in 2003 as a spin-off from Chalmers University of Technology and has since developed into a leading player in its field. Cellectricon helps pharmaceutical companies understand how diseases of the nervous system work and how they can be treated.

Job responsibilities

As a laboratory engineer, you will work with stem cell production (hiPSC), where you will be responsible for the cultivation and quality control of stem cell lines as well as the production of iPSC-based nerve cells. You will also develop new protocols to improve and optimize the manufacturing process.

The work also involves general laboratory work with a focus on quality and documentation. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues and your contribution to continuous improvements to ensure high quality and efficiency.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Post-secondary education in biology, biotechnology, or similar

• Experience in industrial work with stem cell production (hiPSC)

• Experience with GLP/GMP in a manufacturing environment

• Experience in neurobiology is a plus

• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

To succeed in this role, you need to be independent and proactive, as you will have significant responsibility for your tasks. Attention to detail and quality awareness are also crucial, as you will work in an environment where precision and accurate documentation are of utmost importance.

Flexibility and adaptability are also important qualities, as the work takes place in a dynamic environment where projects and priorities may change. You need to have a pragmatic and problem-solving approach to handle the challenges that may arise in laboratory work.

Finally, communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with both colleagues and project leaders. Being able to discuss results, share knowledge, and work towards common goals is a central part of the role.

Salary: By agreement
